Wordsworth’s short poem (just nine lines long) about the thrill he feels when he sees a rainbow in the sky after the rain. He describes being amazed and delighted by rainbows as a child and that the same sense of magic strikes him in adulthood. He says he would feel dead if he ever sees a rainbow without feeling such wonderment. A man after my own heart. When travelling, I’m often still the one to excitedly yell out ‘look, a rainbow!’.
