How to find out if someone is right or left handed

I think this tip only works on women because men tend to keep their nails short and the tip concerns fingernails. If someone is left handed then the fingernails on that hand will be in much better shape than the ones on the right. I have checked this out on myself and it works when my fingernails are longer, when they are short it doesn't. I think the reason is that we are more careful with the hand we use most of the time, whereas the other one takes more flack.
