My world is crashing down on me.

I can't even begin to describe the stress I'm under right now. There are so many things that I'm dealing with at the moment, I can't breathe. Money is a big problem, and now my daughter has had a violent outburst, scarred her brother, and is trying to blackmail me and get my kids taken away. I'm so angry with her, I can't calm down. She is hurting us all, and I'm losing my grip on my family. I want to grab my kids and take off, anywhere, but I don't even own a car or have a place to go. Not to mention, the car I'm renting a man on a bike hit, and for the minute damage that was done to the car (less than $100) the rental company is trying to charge me a $500 deductible (which I don't have) and refund the difference later. Plus I got a flat, and have no idea how to explain that as well. I'm losing it. I just want to cry. In fact, that's what I keep doing, but that doesn't help anything. I'm swamped with things, and believe me, those two things are only the beginning, I don't know what to do.

Colene, take a moment and breathe. You can contact the school your daughter goes to and ask them for help finding resources in your area. They can refer you to services that will help you and your daughter find ways to cope with the violent outbursts. Take the car to at least one or two reputable body shops in the area. Have them give you quotes to repair the damage, and present those to the rental company. Tell them that that's the maximum you'll pay them, or if they prefer you'll take the vehicle and have the damage repaired. With regards to the flat tire, there's a Discount Tire in your city. Give them a call and explain the situation. Ask if they would be able to help you out by repairing the flat tire for free, assuming that the problem is just something simple like a nail in the tread. I've found that their customer service is fantastic across the board, and the store here has helped me out by repairing a tire that we hadn't bought there in the past.

Thank you! You are very helpful! I'm working on it. I have a psychologist lined up for her, and we'll see how that goes. If she lies, she lies. I just hope things work out. Thank you so much!

It really is difficult to know what to say. Hopefully the situation with your daughter will come to nothing. Is the man on the bike not liable for the damage to your rental car or did he just ride off without you getting his details? Whatever happens it is important to try to remain positive, if only for the sake of your children. Things will get better. The good times never last forever so why should the bad times?

Yuki is right. You can get help through your daughter's school. The resources are there. And a few estimates of the bike/car damage is a good idea. Take a deep breath, and take care of things one at a time.
