Is it worth it to invest in oil companies?

It's been almost a year now. I always notice I'm losing thousands. At first, I thought it's good because I can always add shares with cheaper price. That's what I did for the past months.
I have saved enough for additional shares. I don't know if I'll buy from different company or from this oil company.

It took 41 years before I know what stocks are, @lady1993.
Well, honestly I always heard about stocks in movies and also read in some novels. I always wondered what stocks are. When I heard about blue chips, I really thought they are blue and they are chips.
I'm happy that I was able to understand what stocks are. I'm happier to know that blue chips are not chips and are not blue.
I did my self study.
Yes, @lady1993. I also bought some shares from other companies. One of them is Jollibee. It's so good to know that I own part of Jollibee.
What part? Maybe one of the doors.

@lady1993 Oh! Really? Thank you
Don't you have any plans to also invest in stocks? I'll not refer you though
Mine is thru self study because I don't trust other people when money is involved. I don't want to get scammed. That's the worst thing that will happen if I trust others.

It takes a while for the oil price to rebound, and conditionally upon OPEC action.
I think you can invest in companies that benefit from very low oil price, such as transport companies and airlines.
If you want it safe, perhaps REITs is a better alternative.
