Quitting My Full Time Job

Yesterday, I had a talk with our HR head. I discussed with her my plans to leave the company as a full time IT administrator and continue to work for the company as a part-time or a retainer. Since I have already upgraded and redesigned about 90% of our network that the trouble reported has been cut down to almost 2%. There are lots of projects that the owners has been to me though. problem is the tasks and deadlines were overlapping that I could not finish any tasks on time. I said, I will be more productive if we do things on per project basis. This way I could do things one at a time, and they pay me per accomplishment. I thought this is a win-win arrangement for us. For me, I could get more clients outside the company, with cutting down my work time for the company. Plus I could give more time on online jobs. Financially though, my fund is only good for at least three months. I guess this will put a pressure on myself to work harder to get a high paying online job. I plan to leave the company by the end of the year or by Christmas. Wish me luck... (Then again, I don't believe in luck.)

good luck to you.. your plan seems to be logical though, since you won't be overworked and the company can still benefit are you planning on getting another hob after ultimately quitting or are you just going to freelance?

I plan to work as a freelancer while building up my business. I could help develop the skills of those who wants to work in the field of Information Technology. At the same time I'll be working on my other income stream. specially the passive ones, e.g. my stock market investments. Thanks. :)

@lady1993 I guess the teacher within me is still very much alive in me. Though I no longer teach in schools, I still share my knowledge to those I deem deserve to be trained
