Here I am. Here I am, sitting on the bus. It is dark outside. There's no kind of atmosphere. Fortunately I don't mean this literally; the bus is devoid of atmosphere. The moany woman at the bus stop stopped moaning once she was on the bus. There has been no laughter, no chatting, not even a cough. It is Friday. My working week ended yesterday. I have dark shadows under my eyes, exhaustion trying to bring me down and transform me into a sobbing wreck of mushy-ness. The time is 07:04. Is this correct? Who knows; my clocks continue to have a mind of their own, teasing me with their shenanigans. I am off to a far away land {a village the other side of the fine city} for my first day of Baby Niece Babysitting. I am hoping for a fun-filled day. We shall be singing The Wheels on the Bus and throwing food at the walls. I expect there will be tears and naps. I shall leave the nappy duty to my MiL, who will no doubt spend the entire day grumbling about the routine she has to follow and the things my SiL does which she, in her day, would never have done. Fun, fun, fun. Here I am. Here I am, sitting on the bus.
