Some weird Irony

If you will try to check the female singers with big straight male fan base and female singers with big gay male fan base, you will noticed that sexualized female singers like Britney Spears, Madonna ,Nicky Minaj and Lady Gaga are more popular to Gay men. On the other hand female singers who are sporting a modest image or a tomboyish image are popular to straight men just like the female vocalist of rock bands and Instrument playing singer songwriters .
You can see some straight men who will say they have a crush with Katy Perry or Rihanna but only few of them likes their music.
Female singers who are either boyish or not as sexualized have a bigger straight male following. For sure there are straight men and gay men who breaks away from this stereotype but I find it ironic that female singers who are sexualizing their selves attracts the men who don't find them sexually attractive more.

Hmmm. I can only speak for certain gay (female or male) friends - and of course they don't represent everyone. Some think of them as goddesses, some actually want to "be" them - and if any are fans, most certainly they love their music - it's not just about what they look like.

Isnt it weird that female singers who sexualizes their selves dont have a large straight male fanbase? Guys will buy their photoshoots in magazines but wont by their itunes singles or CDs. I also find it weird that women loves singers who sexualizes their selves. Most of the haters of these singers are women but they have a very large female fanbase too. Its funny when critics criticizes sexualzied female singers for "seducing" the guys.

I respect any genders. I have not recognized the issue.
