Mom and I are off to the beauty shop to get our hair cut. Ironically Mom still colors her hair, so she'll get a color as well. I'm just embracing my gray hair. I used to keep my hair short because I thought I should with gray hair. Now I've let it grow out.

I do like to keep my hair trimmed. It makes coloring it so much easier.

I stopped coloring months ago - No one my age has 'natural' brown hair! My husband and I go to my salon together!

@NeldaHoxie We have one barber shop , 3 or 4 salons. He gets a better cut from the lady I use than he did from the barber...the barber shop is just a huge gossip spot for the good 'ol boys and the barber does more talkin' than cuttin'
The girl I use is the owner of the salon and she doesn't mess around!

I don't think my husband and I could do that. In fact he still goes to a "barber shop."

It's good to hear that something is reasonably priced in Singapore.

Enjoy your haircuts, and I hope she enjoys her color too.
So far I have no grey hairs. If I color it is because I want to change for a while. Have black or red hair instead of plain old brown.
Once I start getting greys I think I'm going to rock them with pride. I will have EARNED each and every one of them. lol

I used to love coloring my brown hair auburn. Now I really hate roots, so it's just natural.

My mother has no intention of "going gray." She wanted dark brown, but we convinced her that medium brown would be more attractive.

How funny that you are going grey and your mother has determined not to! I decided not to colour because eventually one has to stop and let nature take its course and then it would be a shock to those who thought my hair was brown! I used to have my hair fairly short but the grey was much in evidence, now I have a very short cut and that has made the colour more even and people tell me it suits me better.

Yep. The thought of putting all those chemicals on my skin gives me the creepy crawlies. I do love the way it looks. However, it is so expensive and time consuming.

Thank you! If you enlarge that picture, you can see lots of gray, but it has stopped bothering me at all.

My mom still colors her hair too, although she has been asking me recently if she should just let it all grow white and look like a grandma
