13 Nights of Halloween

After we ran errands yesterday, my brother and I settled down to watch TV. ABC Family had Halloween movies on all day for their 13 Days of Halloween. We started watching in the afternoon and up until we went to bed and there were some pretty good movies on. We watched The Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas, Casper, Addams Family, Addams Family Values, Monster's University and Hocus Pocus. Although I do enjoy watching movies like these, I also enjoy a little scarier ones like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. Do you like watching Halloween movies? If so, what is one of your favorite movies?

I love the Addams Family movies but other than that I am not really into Halloween movies (I never thought of them as Halloween movies) and I truly hate horror movies. I like Christmas movies better.

I never thought of them as Halloween movies either but I guess the networks do because they have been showing them all week. I also prefer Christmas movies.

Most scary movies are too gross for my taste. But the Addams Family would be delightful.

I agree with you. When I was younger I loved scary movies but then again, they were mild back then compared to what they are now.

@Raelove I could handle this. I do not like violence or gore. Gross is not my favorite thing either.

@Raelove Those old movies were more comedies than horror flicks to me. The real scary ones are the ones that describe the end of civilization caused by the misbehavior of humanity. Yikes.

I like the friday the 13th series, Halloween series, and the ones you mentioned. I didn't watch it yesterday as I was watching other movies instead. But glad you enjoyed watching them. I will probably see what's playing today and may watch those ones.

I also like the milder Halloween movies. They can still be gory but not as bad as movies today. My favorite are the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

I love some of those movies. Although I haven't seen last three. I'd love to get some more Halloween movies. Although considering I have three young kids they'd have to be some family friendly. Who knows? Maybe soon.

@simone10 I was terrified of the evil fairy on sleeping beauty and Ursula on the little mermaid. But nightmare before Christmas was fine to me. Lol

I used to babysit a little girl who wouldn't watch Beauty and the Beast because the Beast scared her but she would watch Nightmare Before Christmas. Never could figure it out.
