Turning Chump Change Into Pennies From Heaven

I've been playing around with this making money online thing for a long time now...more of a hobby than an actual way of life for me. I tend to come and go. BUT, I have been around long enough to know what DOES NOT WORK! - Spreading yourself too thin: If you're on too many sites, whether they be writing sites, survey sites, search sites, or a combo of all of them, it's too hard to reach payout if you're on too many. Pick a few that are your favorite and focus on those. - Program hopping: Similar to the first item, really. You will never reach minimum payout at a site if you keep skipping around to the next hottest thing. FOCUS. - Not being dedicated: This happens to me all the time. I decide I'm going to stick with it for a while, then something pops up and life distracts me from my goal. If you're really going to make some extra money with this, you HAVE to schedule time DAILY to do the tasks that are going to get you there! - Not balancing your time: In this case I'm referring to writing and socializing. You have to balance posting your own content and networking/interacting. In fact, on sites like this, it really pays more in the end to interact more than you post. Even on sites that limit your posts to say 10 posts per day, it is better to write ONE good post per day and interact, leaving your footprints all over the place, than to post 10 posts and hardly leave yourself enough time to interact with others. I hope this is helpful for newbies! Sometimes it's easy to get distracted by shiney things or not know how to focus your efforts.
