My husband and I had a fabulous time at the the Eagle's tribute concert last night. They were able to reproduce the sound and feeling of the band quite well.
They played all the songs I remember from my 20s and 30s including:
Hotel California
Tequila Sunrise
Seven Bridges Road
Lyin' Eyes
Seven Bridges Road
James Dean
Witchy Woman
Heartache Tonight
New Kid in Town
Desperado
Peaceful Easy Feeling
Best of my Love
Take It To The Limit
Love Will Keep Us Alive
I'm sure they sang several other hits, too, but I can't remember them all. What really amazed me was how many of the songs I knew every word to.
I had a great time and so did my husband!
Of those songs, which one is your favorite?

I'm one of those people that can sing all the words to the songs I heard as a kid. I guess most of that was because the songs were played over and over again on the radio.

Yes, I think it is because we heard the words to those songs played over and over again when we were young!

Of those, I'd take, in this order, "Take It to the Limit," "Desperado," "Best of My Love," and "Seven Bridges Road." My favorite Eagles song, however, is "The Last Resort."
What was the name of the Eagles tribute band? I've watched several on You Tube, and they either had good harmonies but the guy singing Henley's songs can't get close to Henley's voice, or the doing Henley is pretty good but their harmonies stink. At the price of Eagles tickets ($200-$900 per ticket), the only thing I could afford would be the tribute bands. I'm glad I saw them in the 70's!

Sorry it took me a couple of days to get back to you. The name of the band was "Heartache Tonight." Since that is one of the Eagles songs, it took me a while before I realized that the name on the program referred to the name of the Tribute band! LOL

I agree that the Hotel California song does sound like it is a lonely place.

Not sure if I could pick a favorite. But I am sure it was fun. Hard work for those guys.

Yes, I'm sure it is hard work for not very much money. I sure enjoyed it, though.
