Veggie Hot Dogs

I do not eat much hot dogs, but still, if I am at an event, there's nothing like an arena hot dog, or I may spy one at the convenience store / gas station, that I just cannot pass up. And who can refuse one at the family or neighborhood BBQ? If I do buy hot dogs at the store, it is mostly turkey hot dogs. So when I read the report about veggie hot dogs containing trace amounts of meat, when they are advertised as veggie hot dogs, I did open my eyes a bit, but when I read on that they contain about 2% of Human DNA, that was a real eye opener! They tested almost 350 hot dogs from 14 different brands. Some hot dogs contained allergens and additives that would affect many with food allergies. The testing lab, Clear Food would not name the companies, but the companies that scored 96% or higher were Butterball, McCormick, Eckrich, and Hebrew National.

I've never tasted a veggie hotdog.. i am not a huge fan of hotdog though, since i can't really determine what they actually put in there I think they also ground some bones with the meat and fat

In the seventh grade, they showed us a film on the processing of hot dogs. I did not eat them for a long time after that.

They don't mention Nathan's but those are kosher, too and I imagine are alright to eat.

That's downright deceiving! It's appalling to see how far some companies would go to gain profit. I hardly ever buy hot dogs at the store.
