i have hitched a ride once, i was with a friend and we were desperate because it was flooding It is not common in our country since it is considered very dangerous But i see in some movies that travelers do it all the time it's kind of nice of people to lend their vehicle, unless they are serial killers Have you ever hitch hiked? is it legal in your country?

I did it when I was a student, and I took hitchhikers in my car later, but since it is easier and more secure to use car sharing now, we have quite no more hitchhikers.

@lady1993 Carpooling, yes. You pay a bit, but you are sure to find a driver. In some areas where drivers don't stop easily, it is certainly the way to go. Wow, in primary school ? I never stop for a kid hitchhiking. They can be runaway and it would be a source of troubles.

@lady1993 No it's not legal in the UK, just don't see people doing it, when I was in the states I saw people try to get a lift.

I've never done it but I see alot of people hitch hiking even in town. It is illegal here to do that and you can never trust anyone.
