Do people still hitchhike?

i have hitched a ride once, i was with a friend and we were desperate because it was flooding
It is not common in our country since it is considered very dangerous
But i see in some movies that travelers do it all the time
it's kind of nice of people to lend their vehicle, unless they are serial killers

@lady1993 Carpooling, yes. You pay a bit, but you are sure to find a driver. In some areas where drivers don't stop easily, it is certainly the way to go.

? I never stop for a kid hitchhiking. They can be runaway and it would be a source of troubles

@lady1993 No it's not legal in the UK, just don't see people doing it, when I was in the states I saw people try to get a lift.

I've never done it but I see alot of people hitch hiking even in town. It is illegal here to do that and you can never trust anyone.
