This world can be a very scary place
So full of darkness and of hate
So many things daily we have to face
In this tumultuous place, these days of late

Lord, we pray that You'd help us through it all
For we cannot make it without Your strength;
Trying on our own, we will surely fail
And realize we needed You at length.

Unable to tell of tomorrow
Disaster day in day out
No where to run to
No one to call
Only God can save us
