Solving problems in the laptop.

The days are finally better, so I took my list and headed for the supermarket. There were other things besides groceries that I needed. My laptop has a horrible keyboard as some of the letters have been erased with my nails. I don´t know if the keyboard can be changed or if the keys can be changed one by one. I would certainly want new vowels, and thes, n and p. But I guess that all that will be too expensive. I could not even get a new battery for my laptop and I have to use in plugged to the house electricity. So I bought a white marker for a very small price. I will write the letters, let them dry and paint the key with nail polish afterwards. Have you "invented" inexpensive ways to fix things at home?

The laptop keyboard can be replaced although it does involve dismantling the surrounding panels to gain access. Having never had reason to replace one myself, I have no idea what kind of price would be involved.

@marguicha There is absolutely no doubt that it would cost more.

I´m sure that it would cost more than what I did I bought a white pen for around 2 dollars, wrote the letters that I had deleted and painted them with transparent nailpolish

That idea is very smart. I need a new keyboard also.

Keybords for normal computers are inexpensive. It is not so for laptops. So meanwhile my idea worked.

LOL - I was going to suggest the fix that you already figured out, because I have done it before!

I did it and it turned out perfectly well. Of course my letters are not as beautiful as the ones the KB had, but now I don´t have to edit my posts because I wrote o instead of i

I am used to live on a budget when I need to. It is the way that I can pay for my luxuries. So I was happy to have a "new" keyboard for a couple of dollars.

I've written the letters on keyboards before. I wear things out pretty good before I replace them.
