Ahem... For some time now I've been writing fan fictions for a show called Gravity Falls. I recently discovered an artist who does art/comics about Gravity Falls, more specifically a fan-created "alternate universe" known as the Mystery Trio. I really really enjoyed one of her comics, and not long after I read it I have had the idea for a kind of "fluff" story that had to do with it. So, today I finally sucked up the courage to send her a note asking her permission to do so, as well as using one of the pics from her comic as a "cover photo". She struck me as a really busy person, so I didn't know when/if I would hear from her, but to my pleasant surprise she wrote me back and said "sure" so long as I gave her credit (which I was intending to do and said so in my original note), and to shoot her a link to it when it was done. ;) So....tomorrow I will get back to the ol' fan fic writing ! ;) I probably would have written this story anyway just to share between me and a friend, but without her permission I would not have posted it on FF.net. So glad now that I will be doing that. :D
