I entered the MyLot, by the reason, learning to speak English, I apologize to those who do not understand very well, but have some patience that I'm learning, and not criticize how some people have already made

There is no need to apologize. This is an inclusive community with people from all over the world. I will not have a member feel unwelcome here and I do not tolerate bullying. The community guidelines specifically say that criticizing the English abilities of a member is not allowed. If it happens, report the post to me and I will take care of it.

Welcome to myLot and I hope you have a great time here. Your English will improve the more you read and write it. I do not know any Portuguese, so I think it is great that you are learning a new language!

@cpefley I was thinking the same thing. I studied four languages at school (including English) but can't even understand two of them any more. The third is one I hear spoken every now and again and I can understand most of what is said, but I still answer people in English because I haven't got the confidence to speak that language.

You should read as many posts as you can by members whose native language is English. You can learn a lot doing so. There's not need to be frustrated. There aren't many English speaking people who know foreign languages. They're lazy because they speak the world language No 1 and find someone who knows it, too, all over the world. --- Please look at the title of your post. Do you really mean 'sad'? Or do you mean 'said'?

Yes I realize but there are people who criticize me for it, I wanted to say "said"

@neutel12 Why don't you correct the title? It would look better. --- Ask the next person who criticises you which foreign language they know and how good they are at it.

The level of English is not so critical as long as what you post can be understood. Why people criticise others who are using a foreign language is beyond me.

@neutel12 I wish my Portuguese was as good as your English. I was in Lisbon for a few days last week and was embarrassed that I could not speak any Portuguese at all. I'm determined to learn some Portuguese before I go there again.
