A post by another myLotter (41Combedale) reminded me of the year a friend and I made a recipe book for our co-workers. We collected a couple of recipes from each person, then typed them up. Do any of you remember mimeograph machines? Boy, does this make me feel old! It was the original copy machine. I typed the words on a paper that made tiny holes in the paper. The machine had ink, so when you put the paper on the outside and turned the cylinder, the ink came through the holes and printed the words! Totally low-tech. But the recipe books turned out fine. Well, except for one little tiny mistake. A recipe called for 1/3 cup of oil and I typed 3 cups of oil. A friend made the pound cake and brought it to work. It actually tasted pretty good, even if the oil was dripping down the sides of the tray.

Ha! You'd probably have to find one in a museum!

@1creekgirl OK sounds good to me. But also sounds like you just gave away a big secret you were keeping so quiet. Your age

It does make a good gift if you know someone who is into cooking.
