I never was one for Halloween growing up. I think I went trick or treating maybe five or so times as a child? Atleast that I remember. I am sure that my parents and sibilings took me trick or treating when I was a wee one just so that they could get the extra candy. I have always been the shy one. I don't like to talk much, nor do I like to interact much with people. I just feel uncomfortable and anxious when I have to talk to people face to face. It helps if I've interacted with you before in different settings but otherwise, if it's like a first time meeting? No thanks. I just get too nervous. Anyway back to the Halloween thing. The Trick or Treating Thing is more like it. One year my dad took me out in my grandparent's neighborhood. These are my mother's parents for further clarification purposes. There are TWO streets with similar names in this neighborhood and they are very close together. My father got lost in the neighborhood and it took us a good hour or so to get back. I was a crying blubbering mess by the way. He wasn't a very happy father at the time and if I remember correctly neither were my grandparents when we did get back. It was horrid. Just horrid. I think that pretty much did it for me after that, nope no more chance of getting lost if I don't go! I did go two more times after that but it was several years later. If I ever do have kids the father is taking them trick or treating, I'll tell you that much. Any bad trick or treating stories? Either for yourself or your children?

It is sad that we dont celebrate halloween in here. I wished if it was widely celebrated in here.I would love to have the get up of villians in films.

A lot of people here do parties, Haunted Houses, Haunted Trails, lots and lots of ghost stories and folklore. I think the costumes came about as a way to ward off and confuse evil spirits.

There was no halloween in my country when I was a child. I went trick or treating only once, a year that we lived in the US. Now the holiday has been impoted to my country, All Saint´s Day is not honored anymore and I´m hiding from the goblins as I forgot to buy candy

I usually celebrate Halloween in bars away from random little monsters demanding money with menaces

I am sorry you were not having fun trick or treating. I loved it. I really got loads of pillowcases full of treats. I dont remember being worried or scared.
