Poppy day - celebrated in most of the European countries commemorating those that have lost loved ones in the Wars.
I noticed that Prince Henry had a poppy in his lapel when he presented the trophy to the winners of the RWC so I shall give my respect to the fallen ones in the wars all over the world with a poppy of my own.
Taken in Brugge last year - with the 100th Year WWI commemoration
Lest we forget.
Miss you DAD

I looked up the origin of the remembrance poppy. It has an interesting history. I know that it was spoken of for WWI but has it been adopted for all wars?

I know about rose day when students would give out roses to their favourites and at the end of the day count the number of roses each one got and then an announcement made to that effect much to the disappointment of those who did not receive any

I think I have seen some sell fake poppies for donations for remembrance or something, not in awhile though
