The USDA has recalled more than 167,000 lbs of ground beef due to an E coli contamination. This meat is from Omaha, Nebraska. For the past year, I have always been asking stores where they get their meat and produce. Do you know where your local store gets their product?
All American Meats, Inc., an Omaha, Neb. establishment, is recalling approximately 167,427 pounds of ground beef products that may be adulterated with E. coli O157:H7.

I have never been comfortable buying ground beef, specially after the news about e, coli started to spread. So now I buy the beef and grind it at home. It´s more work, but I´m sure about how I handle everything.

It is more work definitely, but for the sake of good health, isn't it worth it? I don't have a grinder, but it might be a good investment for people. I don't eat a whole lot of meat, just once in a while.

Glad I don't like meat and I don't buy it or eat it. If I want hamburger they have an excellent ground turkey sausage here on the islands I use. I don't like to eat steak, hamburger, or other types of red meat. I don[t know why I just don't like it and don't eat it at all.

I only buy grass fed and grass finished beef and that from local sources as a rule. It's more expensive but worth it health wise and I don't have to worry about things like this.
