Thanksgiving is coming up the end of this month for the US and Thanksgiving is a traditional and loved National Holiday. It is my favorite. We had thought to go to the west side of Washington state to spend the weekend with our younger son and family and he had invited us but was not sure if he would have room as he learned his wife's parents who are in their 80's planned to be there as well as this year Thanksgiving falls on our daughter in law's birthday. So we told him we would go over later during winter break and spend 3 days with them instead. We are having one of our granddaughter's and her husband and our son and his son here for Thanksgiving instead. A smaller group but that is okay. Then the weekend Saturday we will share another dinner with our daughter and her children. We do not shop during this weekend period nor watch Football we relax, go to church and spend time with family visiting and playing board or card games. We for sure will not go shopping on Thursday to me the merchants have gotten out of control and super greedy. It should be a Holiday with everything closed for the day much more than the Universal day of "Christmas" which NOT everyone celebrates.

We always have a big family lunch at my mom's house. Fried turkey and the works! Yum! I can't wait!

Usually I go to my parents, then my nanas, then my husbands mom, and then when my grandma was around we would go there as the last stop. This year my parents are not coming into town and we are not going to them this year unless we figure out my car early enough. Sounds like we are just going to spend the day at my husbands moms house but that is ok with me as well.
