Halloween Recap

Hubs had bought us all season passes to Six Flags during a big flash sale they had over Labor Day weekend. Friends of ours at church told us about it. What we didn't realize was that Halloween weekend was our last chance to actually PICK UP the passes and receive the upgrades we paid extra for! So, it all worked out because we were both off work. Our 9 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow, so we decided to take a fun weekend and celebrate early. The weather wasn't 100% perfect, but at least it wasn't too hot. Most of the rides that were closed were too big for the Munchkin to go on anyway. There were signs all over the park, advising parents that after 7 pm the place was going to turn creepy and to take small kiddos who would scare easily out of the park before then. They even closed down the kiddie areas at that time. I thought that was a shame because they didn't have to make the areas for small kiddos so creepy! What if people came from very far away, not knowing about this? Anyway, to make matters worse, the "Zombies" started coming out of the wood work early. As in, 3:00/3:30 in the afternoon early. That frightened my daughter. We were ready to leave anyway because one of the rides spun me right over the edge from borderline migraine to full fledged migraine. I felt a little bit better after hubby negotiated with the local Walgreens to score me my meds and we got some food delivered to the hotel. On Sunday we went to Ripley's Believe it or Not. We saw all kinds of interesting things there, like a beautiful wedding gown made 100% from toilet paper! There was also a vest on display made of human hair. Ok, that's maybe a little gross. Hopefully it was clean hair at least. They also have a section that is a mirror maze. We didn't make it to the exit. Instead, we kept going in circles and found ourselves back at the entrance. We admitted defeat and were ready to get out of there by then. Over all, it was a fun, family weekend!
