Amazon to extend maternity benefits

United States

Amazon announced that they will be extending maternity benefits to give moms 20 weeks off for the birth of their babies That's full pay for those 20 weeks! They aren't forgetting the dads, they get six weeks off plus their full pay. I am sure this will make a lot of potential new moms and dads very happy. Amazon's new maternity/paternity benefits will start in January, 2016.

I suppose that is good for the people who get those benefits, but I hope they don't raise their prices to compensate! I don't want to pay for other people to get an extended vacation when I have to go to work every day.

Wow! That is awesome! I remember going back to work after 6 weeks and knowing that it was too early. Babies need their mommies home with them.
