I am not sure if I can call myself a Freegan being that dumpster diving is one of their main factors in a movement against consumerism.
Dumpster diving doesn't really work for me due to my location. Today is my first day of being my version of a Freegan minus the dumpster diving.
I am going to spend this month taking advantage of anything free that is available to my family in order for us to save money and become more financially free.
Things I am doing today in order to take advantage of free things available to me -
I wrote to my favorite juice company telling them I love their juice and asking them if they have any free samples or coupons.
I also registered my kids for a free program at the library where they are going to be bringing in animals to show the kids (free entertainment).
I signed up for a free skincare sample to be sent to my home.
Later, maybe we will go to Costco for some free samples. It's also garbage day, there might be some good freebies on somebody's curbside. You never know!
Have you ever entertained the idea if being a Freegan?1 response

Freegans are those who reject consumerism and try to eliminate waste. They are doing the best possible favor to the environment.

Thanks for letting me know. I totally got the term wrong. I will call myself a freebie lover.

@simpleliving3251120 I am a freebie lover too! I love to go around the evening before trash pick up. It's amazing the good things that people throw out!

@kellyr634 Great! Do you have any tips? I just found a web-site that offers all things free in my community museums, etc.
