Summer is over, really...

The dreaded day finally arrived....the day the pool gots covered. My husband and the neighbor were out there early hoping to get the cover on before the rain hit and they did! The rain started a few minutes ago, so they lucked out. The first two summers I helped my husband cover and uncover the pool. When we were getting ready to think about opening it last spring I told him to find out how much the pool company would charge to do it. That led to him talking to our neighbor instead. He said fine since he had helped the previous owner he was experienced! The cover is extremely heavy and since the pool is a rectangle with all kinds of odd angles finding the right corner to start off with isn't always easy. Having those two do it made me smile as I stood inside while they did the hard work This is always the saddest day of the year for us...is it April yet?

Nope Abby it is not April yet, you will have to wait a while for that. Usually the covers are not so difficult to put on, wonder why there are so many different odd angles. It is good the neighbor had helped put the cover on so he was a great help.

The pool isn't a rectangle with normal corners...they are all angles, so the cover has angles and it's 40 x 20 so it's heavy and big. Yes, the neighbors a big help. My husband helps him out too and we have been giving him garden goodies so that helps him.

Oh, unfortunately it isn't April yet. March would be fine for me also.

One year we opened it in the beg. of April and it didn't get warm enough to use until May.

Well in Floridfa we dont have to cover the pools. All though im looking at your pool cover and we use them on foreclosure houses around pools that dont have the baby gates or fences around them. They are to be put on so kids dont fall in and the owner of the house get sued and that would be a bank so they hire companies like mine that i work for to do such things.

We don't have to cover ours but we prefer to - I don't want to waste money running the filter if I don't have to. It's how we get the dog to dry out for a few months.
