Ray Stevens was the Weird Al of the 1970’s and he did some of the funniest comedy songs ever. Though best known for The Streak, which celebrated the craze for running round streets and sports events in the nude, his other songs were equally funny. In this one, a squirrel disrupts a church meeting and sparks a major evangelical revivalist movement.

I love this song! I grew up listening to it on a vinyl. My mama set the record player up so that it would play the song over and over again. I could listen to the song and see the squirrel running up the pants leg! I also love the Streak song as well.
