Gamer Girls-Real and Fake!

Did you know that there are real gamer girls out there? They are not what you think! Most are very smart and fun, also some are silly or even a little crazy. However, recently I have found many men portraying themselves as women online. Not just playing a female character but actually pretending to be girls in game. Some try to portray young girl like under 18. My question is why? Is this some type of new sport or is it the thrill? It is hard enough to be a female in an online game let alone someone acting like a girl to get free stuff. Most real girl in game will not ask for anything! We work just as hard as the guys "grinding" for the perks we earn, and don't want to be seen as moochers or looking for favors. WE GAME MORE THAN YOU THINK, so take some time and get to know that pretty female character online before you just assume it is a girl, cause it mite be a "GIRL" (Guy In Real Life). I love it when someone tries to say I'm a guy. All it takes is going into Ventrilo and they're like, "Well... guess it's true." lol

My ign is a female name and I actually pretend I'm a guy a lot so when I jump on Skype with people it's quite hilarious when they find out I'm not a guy! Although sometimes it doesn't go well when they find out I'm a higher level then them, it's just an interesting world...the gamer world.

used to be that gaming was a boy sport, so the few girls could get showered with game gifts and help or at least that's what people wanted to think girls could do, or would act like to get, I always figured those doing that were sneaky boys!

You girls are fk'ing awesome!! I would love to game with you or just chat. I am on TS/RC/Skype too! I play GW2 for now, hopefully more later...lol. I love being a gamer girl!!! I wish more guys knew that they just need to be themselves and honest and we would be fine with them. HEY GUYS YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING, JUST BE YOURSELF! If we like you...we like you if not there will be others!

I think it's a touchy subject. I mainly play League of Legends and I've had my ups and downs mainly because I'm a girl playing a video game. Some guys have been extremely mean while others have been nice. I think that some guys pretend to be girls to get free in-game items. I myself have gotten people to buy me skins, not that I ask, just some guys like to gift girls in-game items so I assume the guys pretending to be guys are wanting the same thing.
