Having continuous supply of clean water at a high pressure is a privilege. Having visited many countries in Asia with abundance of water resources, and yet the people do not have supply to continuous supply of clean water, I start to appreciate the privilege of having clean water. Treated water costs us money but that is better than not having clean water at all. I think the longevity of the people is partly due to adequate clean water, adequate supply of food, and good medical care. I really cannot imagine living in a village where clean water is not always available, and electricity is not always available.

There are many things that we use everyday, yet we never think how lucky we are to have them. Clean water for drinking is the firstone. But there is a long list of things that we have yet take forgranted. Lately, electriciy has become something much needed. And with it comes all sorts of electronic devises, including the internet.

That is true. We get the electricity at all hours and we have clean water at all hours, and we still waste the resources. I think we have to travel out to realize how fortunate we are.

Perhaps the people who live in these countries should demand that their governments set different priorities. In the US we have amenities and services, because of the democracy we established after we had a revolution.

Not every country can demand the governments to do the same for them. Even if the government builds more plants to filter the water and send to the home of people, the water is costly to those who are used to free water from the rivers.
