1/.
Put out to pasture
Old but by no means antique
Vintage knacker’s yard
2/.
Spring, Summer, do you
Bump and grind at your borders
Like tectonic plates
3/.
Seems so wrong to like
By clicking the blue button
As your grief pours out
4/.
Dressed as a vampire
The Goth ruins his image
Dancing to Abba
5/.
No cell phones on Mars
In space no one hears texting.
I’m not going then!

@arthurchappell yeah, you hate "liking" when that's not the emotion you want to share.

@amnabas and @GreatMartin it is a short form of poetry of just 17 syllables, five in in the 1st and 3rd lines seven in the middle line. It has a centuries old history in Japan though it was popularized in the west in the 1960's by Beat poets like Allen Ginsberg. Strict form haiku should refer to a season, and at least one in each set of five I write does. It is essentially the art of saying as much as possible in as few words as possible.
