Earning with refferals, do you do it?

I read that the referral program for mylot has not been re-implemented as of yet. How many of you are looking forward to this? Referrals are how I made all my money on tsu so I am hoping I can do that with this site eventually as well! What do you think, do you want the referral option now?

I don't think it's necessary. I can imagine it could be abused and I'm happier if people are here because they want to be and not because they're making fake accounts to generate referral bonuses. I think when there's money involved people invite others for (sometimes) the wrong reasons.

@chance216 I think all of us who lived through Bubblews would be nervous about hundreds of newbies turning up everyday who think they will get rich and don't want to work for their pennies. That said, I'm still making a lot off referrals to a site I barely use any more but they can afford it!

Interesting take on this. It is true it could be abused but it is also a great way of exposure as this is a site being rekindled! Thank you for your response friend.

I reported your other discussion for putting up your tsu referral link, so please read the rules on this subject.

@chance216 Being new is not an excuse for not following the guidelines. I believe that when you registered you ticked the box stating that you had read the guidelines, so you should not have any reasons for claiming being new and ignorant.

@destry My friend you would attack me for this? I will take the post down. I understand you care about this site but that is no reason to be aggressive! All you had to do was tell me. Thank you

I would be hesitant to get involved with this program unless the chance to do well is fully realized.

With a site like MyLot who needs to worry about referring others. If there was a referral program here I would have earned some money because I have referred a few good people from the B site here and a few other sites as well. I like the interaction and we earn just fine without a referral program.

@chance216 The B site is short for Bubblews. I think mostly everyone knows what happened there.

Thank you for your opinion! If you don't mind me asking what is the "b" site. I have heard some people on here use that term.

I don't believe that the referral system would be of any benefit to the site at the moment. Membership seems to be quite healthy and increasing at an acceptable rate without any such incentives. Referral systems work when a site is starting up and wants to increase its membership fast. MyLot is well-established and many of the old members are still coming back as well as a good influx of new members as the word gets around. Referral systems (especially those which offer a percentage of the referral's earnings) tend to reduce the overall fairness of a payment system such as we have here and may also lead to increased attempts at 'gaming' the system.
