I don't drink coffee, but am a big tea drinker. Some things I didn't know about coffee: It has many antioxidants. Coffee drinkers will get more anitoxidants from their coffee than the fruits & veggies they eat Has Vitamin B5 and manganese It boosts brain function and metabolism Less likely to develop dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Less likely to develop Diabetes, especially Type 2 Less likely to develop cirrhosis and liver cancer. Depression is lower among coffee drinkers. Those who drink more than 4 cups a day were found to be at a 53% lower risk of committing suicide

I am still wondering where is Lamb ? Why he didn't responded on this discussion. Hi, I am in night shift and I usually have 1 to 2 cups of coffee ( It is made by machine and I can't complain about it's taste. ) Else I don't drink coffee at all.

I have liked coffee for a number of years now but limit myself to one or two cups in the morning, occasionally if I go out to eat and it is a cool day I will order a cup of coffee with my meal. Glad to hear it is something that is healthy.

There are still some advantages of drinking coffee. And this is why I started to drink coffee. I don't drink it often. Perhaps twice a week right now. And I just drink a cup of coffee each time. I will add more milk and suger in the coffee as it seems it is healthier and tasteful. I like to drink coffee to make me feel energetic again. When I am tired and sleepy, coffee really helpes me.

@Pattitude Strong tea also can make you have energy. Some people will be sleepless at night if they drink strong tea before.

When I was finishing up my respiratory therapy training, the last quarter I had to do 40 hour/week clinicals, plus I was working almost 40 hrs/week. I was so exhausted. Our unit secretary said, you need coffee. I told her that I did not like it. She said she would make me a cup that I would love. I nearly spit it across the room, it was mostly sugar and milk!
