Would you feel grateful for that few moments of madness?..

. So you drove to the shops five minutes away from home, parked your car, and walked across using the pedestrian crossing when out of nowhere some kids riding unlicensed motorbikes on high speed run you over...And then left you for dead. A few moments of madness that altered so many lives.. You lost your life, your young children lost their mother, your husband lost his wife, your parents lost their daughter, your siblings lost their sister and your friends lost a beautiful soul. They are struggling to cope without you.. You died on the way to the hospital. But thanks to you for being a registered organ donor, five people received the gift of a new lease on life. ( This is a true story ).. Would you, as a recipient of one of her organs feel glad or grateful for that few moments of madness that killed your organ donor? I asked myself this question. And I don't think I would feel glad and definitely not grateful under the circumstances to have a new lease on life at my age knowing that a 31 years old healthy woman with a young family met that awful few moments of madness.. People say, everything happens for a reason.. I'm not sure about that. There is absolutely no good reason for that madness to happen..What do you think? Bess

I don't think things happen for a reason, often they are random cause by uncaring thoughtless people as in this case. I hope they are brought to justice but yes out of this darkness some goodness came but certainly no one thinks that God struck down this woman to provide organs, it doesn't work like that.

Yes, the young people are now in custody. Even their lives have been altered because of few moments of sadness..

I do believe things happen for a reason. It sounds like madness that a young mother lost her life because of the delinquency of people on motorbikes, and I hope justice is served on them. However, mindless the madness was, five people who needed the gift of life got it.

Isn't it unfair for the young children to be robbed off of the love, care and guidance or their mother though? If God is the one giving reasons for everything that happens, why choose this young woman? I just hope that the recipients of the organs take good care of their bodies to show deep gratitude to their donor..

@epiffanie Yes it is unfair for the children to be without the love of their mother. I have no answer for why God chose her.

i think people saying everything happens for a reason in a case like that is just dumb answering like that. like my hubby dieing when everyone loved him and some older mean people still alive at an older age. some said that to me about a reason? whats that mean? just dumb

@bunnybon7 Yes indeed, it's like someone told me that my younger brother's murder happened for a reason .. I thought what reason are they talking about?..

If I needed the organ, I would figure it was divine providence and be very very grateful. Of course I would be sad at the loss of young life.

If I needed an organ , was young and have so much more to contribute to my community, I would be so grateful indeed. Right now, I can imagine how sad i would feel.. more sad than grateful..

I wouldn't be glad that they lost their life, but I would be very grateful to the donor and their family.

@epiffanie I think I am the same as you, I think not knowing what happened to the donor is the best way to do things.

I would feel grateful to the donor but not to his/her killers.
