I did take a walk. I did eat a diet lunch. Now what?

This morning I behaved. I walked to and from the supermarket. Leticia didn´t let me take a taxi on the way back. At lunchtime, I skipped the rice that was served as a side dish. I had a delicious kale and leek cream and roasted pork. So far, so good. This evening I have friends for tea, There are several problems there. I bought some special bread, will have avocado paste and fresh cheese, some homemade apricot jam and, last but not least, some delicious cookies chocolate covered. I know they are delicious because I already opened the package and ate some The people at the show The biggest loser lose 5 or 6 pounds each week. Will I be able to lose one pound a week just walking and skipping rice, potatos (almost) and pasta? The article I read yesterday about insulin resistane was that it could be reversible. Will I be able to do it? Today is my first day. Wish me luck.

funny I just came back from Italy. They eat a lot of pasta there and including myself. these people are not fat at all.But they do a lot of walking every day to their destination. The young generation here are thin, build and just wonderful. I find the pasta here.Much lighter than here in the US.Yes they are thin. The secret not sure. Maybe it is the walking?

I used to walk each day and do a lot of housework before I was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy. Chemo took all my energy and I could not be outside much as my defenses were low. My life then became very sedentary and later on I grew addictedto the internet. I suppose that I could walk a little every day and eat sensibly.

@mrsg1981 I think that I´ll just skip some carbs for a week or 2. I can still have filling meals with small dishes of legumes and some vegetable puddings in small quantities.

@mrsg1981 That is exactly what I will do. Yesterday I made a kale and leek cream. I know I have several broths in the freezer. I´ll have to look.

I hope so. That is also one of my problems, I get to be okay at times at the diet part. Now the walking part, I am having a hard time because there is no one to look for my kids while I am walking. But I do a few minutes of exercise around the house.

I don´t much like the walking part as the chemo left me with a neuropathy and my feet hurt. It´s not easy to start walking.
