About 25 years ago, a person could turn on a citizens band radio in their truck or car when driving long distances to get traffic reports, weather updates, directions or just listen and participate in local chatter. Some stations were dedicated to only emergencies and safety. Unfortunately, the CB Rambos, started bullying and picking fights with, other radio users, predators listened in to find single women to follow and assault and ladies and gentlemen of the night called out for business in rest areas and truck parking lots. The radio waves began being filled with nonsense, and profanity and annoying nonsense reel to reel tapes disrupted the airwaves and ran all night. Sadly, what started out as a fun and interesting piece of electronic equipment to give folks a way to communicate, while traveling has turned into into another way of communication for people to avoid.
