Penny gets jealous when another glamorous actress moves into the apartment block, and Leonard starts lusting after the new girl, as do all the boys except Sheldon.
The actress manipulates the boys, and she is successful while Penny is struggling to get a role. This leads to a spectacular hallway cat-fight between the girls, much to Howard’s delight. The actress is not described as leaving the flat again, but she is never referred to or seen in any later episodes.

That is interesting that the actress was simply dropped from the series. Sometimes I wonder why people are not in a series anymore.

She was clearly drawn in for one episode only, but they never explained why the character left
