Up early on my day off..

I took the day off of work. I get to have a nice, long 3 day weekend. Unfortunately my plans do not include sleeping in. I scheduled parent-teacher conferences for 8 o'clock this morning. I scheduled them a couple months ago, thinking only that I normally go in late on Fridays so I would have time for the conferences at 8am before heading to work. I didn't know that I'd get the day off until a week ago when it was too late to reschedule the conferences. Tomorrow, my oldest son will finally go take his 5 hour class to get his license. After that he'll only need to schedule his road test and he will be legal to drive, thank goodness. But I've got to get up early again to drive him down there. It starts at 9, and it's about 20 minutes away from here, so another day of not sleeping in. Sunday I think I can sleep in for a little bit... but when you get so used to waking up early your body forgets how to sleep in. I will probably end up getting up early anyway. Don't ya hate that? Do you look forward to days when you can sleep in?

All my days are like that since I don't work but my body starts hurting really bad if I stay in the bed too long. I am usually up around 4 or 5am everyday. But the good thing is that I can take a nap if I need to.

Me too, when I can get it. We're getting into Drumline and Winterguard season now so I will not be able to sleep much on Saturdays anymore, but Sundays I can.

I don't really like naps, and my days tend to be too busy, although today wasn't as busy as I thought.. some plans got cancelled.

Sounds like it would have been easier to be at work.

Nah, I will get more done today by being up and at em nice and early. I've already got my grocery shopping done. Now I think I'll do a bit of tidying.

Sounds like a busy weekend you have but a different kind of busy! and yes I very much hate that I can't sleep in. I wake up at 5 or 6 am no matter what. Enjoy your weekend.

It's usually 6 or 7 for me, but I would like to sleep in and not rush in the morning.

To me, sleeping to 7 AM is sleeping in. My body clock wants to be up between 5 and 6 AM. Once awake there is no going back for this woman, it just doesn't happen. Its been like this my whole life so it is my life.
