Spoiler alerts – Marvel Comics 2014
When Tony Iron Man) Stark learns that SHIELD have taken Bruce (Hulk) Banner on as a scientific inventor and in effect hired his Hulk side as a weapon, Stark gets both jealous and suspicious. He is jealous as being a weapons maker himself he sees Banner as dangerous competition. He also reckons Hulk is too dangerous to have on the team.
Banner invites Stark to help install a shale gas and oil fracking devise in the Arctic making the story rather pro-Fracking) but it is a ruse so he can turn into Hulk and fight Iron Man where no one else can get hurt as they sort out their differences.
This is a rather pathetic ego clash story with the heroes behaving like petulant school boys. That Banner starts the fight rather than Hulk, knowing how much damage his alter-ego can cause, seems out of character and irresponsible.
The men eventually decide to be friends anyway just as word comes from SHIELD HQ that something important is happening and they are needed.
After a great opening story the series degenerates to this – very disappointing.

This seems immature, even for Stark. I never took him for a guy who gets jealous and starts fighting over it.
