Sometimes I can't sleep through the night

I like it when I can sleep through the night. Sometimes I can't sleep through the night. Last night was one such night. I woke up about an hour after falling asleep to go to the toilet. A few hours later, the rain woke me up, and I got up to close the window. When it was about 5 am, I woke up due to a dream. I could not even remember what the dream was, but I woke up. I fell asleep again, and woke up at 8 am. Fortunately I do not have to work today, else I would be sleepy throughout the day. Do you have times like this when you can't sleep through the night?

I am not a good sleeper and dreaded those insomniac nights that leaves me groggy the next day. Here I am staying glued to my computer after having a short sleep just now.

Sad to hear that. It must be horrible to go to work when you are not fully awake, and yet you know that you cannot go back to sleep again. I hope you can have a few more nights of sound sleep.

@scheng1 luckily I'm not on anybody's payroll so I do have the freedom to sleep the whole day but refrain from doing it.

Yup I have times like this too often. Although last night was the first night I slept thru the night without having to get up and use the bathroom. Hope your able to get a nap today

That sounds like a good night of sleep. I hope that we can all sleep like babies, and do not wake up even in a thunderstorm. I think genes play a part, as well as diet and our general fitness. Some old men and women can sleep like a baby for 10 hours.

like sometimes we have a lot of reasons why we can't sleep there are lots of reasons why this doesn't occur we can be thankful for days when we can.
