Effects Of The ISIS Attack On Paris November 2015

As with any cowardly terrorist attack the events of Friday 13th 2015 sent shock waves round the World. It was a well-organized and timed attack, with several synchronized assaults taking place simultaneously. This has echoes of the US 9/11 attack in that 9/11 involved four separate hijackings. Paris saw attacks on a restaurant district, a concert hall with a rock concert in progress, and just outside crowded football stadium, where an international friendly match was just starting, attended by the French President Francois Hollande who was quickly evacuated as trouble flared. The match was bravely played out in defiance of the attack. Bravo for that.
The attackers included suicide bombers and gun-men who aimed to survive and escape capture. Most were certainly killed, mostly by their own hand. Worryingly, some of them may have got away to potentially attack again. The targets were primarily young fans of sports, music, culture and those dining out with friends – in other words, people like us – everybody.
Everyone is reading up on it and commenting on it. I just looked the incidents up on Twitter and during my five minutes there 679 new Tweets were posted on this subject alone.
The important thing is for life to continue. We should not be afraid to go out, dining, dancing, watching live shows or sports events. If we change our lives the terrorists win. Be vigilante, but don’t hide away. The best way to stand up to terrorism is to say yes I’m scared, but I’m still living my life. Every time we go out and have fun, shop, or see friends we are successfully fighting against terror now.
126 people died in Paris and over 200 more are injured. The toll could yet rise – the victims were hurt for being people. Paris has defied terrorism before as seen in the Charlie Hebdo cartoons campaigns and this was a reprisal attack. The defiance by the free World, (everyone who is not in ISIS) needs to be maintained.

Across the world there were other sad things, but those mainly from mother nature. We have enough to deal without evil people doing evil things

they are not unstoppable - they have leaders and funding and they can be hurt back - ISIS will fall.

pretty inevitable reaction - surely even ISIS must have expected that one coming

I wish that more was being done to stop the international arms trade. There are reckoned to be millions of AK47s and Skorpions held illegally in the Balkans alone and these are available to criminals and terrorists alike.Only this week a lorry load was found in Kent.
If more were done to stem this trade, the less the risk would be

it would reduce it but there is so much out there we can't ever fully stop it
