Do you Lose Things?

I think there is a mischievous little elf living in my house. We lose things and then find them in the last place we saw them after we already searched there. For instance, my wallet disappeared. We tore the house apart looking for it. Then we found it in the last place I had it, which we had searched and searched again. Am I the only one that this happens to?

It is eerie how this happens. It gives me a weird feeling because I don't know what is going on. I wish I knew why it happens.
