Virginity sells. Virgin is good. Extra virgin is better..
It's only in the last ten years that I have become aware of virgin products such as virgin olive oil, virgin coconut oil. And to even make it more desirable they have extra virgin products..
For the last ten years, I mainly use extra virgin olive oils in cooking and not so long ago I found extra virgin coconut oil. I tried it cooking fried rice and I thought it is tasteless compared to the extra virgin olive that I use.. It didn't taste like a virgin ..lol ..
Anyway, while I was cooking, I thought of all "the virgins" that are waiting for the suicide bombers to meet up with them in heaven after they blew up themselves killing innocent people in the process..
Virginity , according to the dictionary is " the state of never having had sexual intercourse " ..
And that perhaps is the reason why virginity is desirable and virginity sells. But virginity caused a lot of anxiety . Virginity is supposed to be "sacred" and yet Virginity corrupted the minds of delusional men who are mostly preachers of the most powerful Invisible Being..
Going by that definition of virginity, do these suicide bombers believe that they will enjoy sexual intercourse with the 72 virgins when they die? How are they going to do that since the act of sexual intercourse , they must have the physical the body?
And what about Mary "the mother of God" whom the Catholics believe is forever a virgin? Din't they read in their Bible that she had other sons and daughters , therefore she had sexual intercourse in order to conceive those other children? But because virginity is desirable and virginity sells, they use it to attract followers..
Which reminded me of a few stories of virgin births in my province in the Philippines all those years ago when I was little . I heard women who fell pregnant without husbands claimed they got pregnant when a powerful spirit came to sleep with them at night and one claimed that she got pregnant while doing laundry in the river..
LOL! Analyse that ..

@epiffanie of course not, she had a virgin birth but soon after she married Joseph and had sons so it is very clear she did not remain a virgin so I don't call Mary... virgin Mary.

@jstory07 Yes indeed. Maybe those who believe that Mary is a virgin forever didn't read the bible..

@epiffanie that was catholics teaching, i quote this from the Bible saying Mary had four other sons, Joseph, James, Jude, and Simon. Because of the virgin birth, Joseph was not the father of Jesus so these were the half brothers of Jesus. The last three mentioned are not to be confused with those who were disciples of Jesus by the same name. Here are some passages where the other sons of Mary by Joseph are mentioned (Matt. 12:46; 13:55; Mark 6:3; John 2:12; 7:3, 5, 10; Acts 1:14; 1 Cor. 9:5; Gal. 1:19).
