Nefarious!

Yet more old poems have been saved from the Bubtanic sinking, some of better quality than others. This author for one is glad though, it's sad to see a good poem go into extinction.... This one was one word challenge, and the word was Nefarious! Nefarious she was, in name and in deed Covetous and sinful, chock full of greed. Plotting and schemes, plans seeped in hate, Till finally one day, round came her fate. Wicked in story, legend grew long brought heroes a'calling, following the song of treasure and triumph, of questing and might when right conquers wrong, what a glorious fight!

I was worried that the good guys wouldn't win. Bubtanic. I like that. I made reference to MyLot as the Carpathia in a couple of comments and wonder if people got it.

Great poem. Somehow it reminds me of all those fairy tales with their wicked witches and stepmothers. It's always good to see good triumph over evil.

It is a bit like that isn't it? I could see it as the beginning of a saga, well the beginning and the end, I guess someday I might have to write the middle

I think this should be set to music and made the theme song of some period drama series about warriors or something.

Nice retrieval. Most of the ones I saved and the ones I lost were short comedy pieces. I don't write much poetry.
