Why Is Mylot Called Mylot?

At first I wrote this title - What is the story of the name "myLot"? But I decided to change it because it is too simple and flawless. I chose the above title - "Why is myLot Called myLot?" It looks catchy because of its seemingly redundant look! Anyway, what is the story behind the site's name - myLot? I went over the history of the site; it does not mention why the site chose the name myLot. Lot means a piece of land. So, does it mean - this is my piece of land (My Lot)? Any better idea?

Definition: My lot in life = my destiny. Here, at least, we create our own.
