~I Am Not A Stupid Person~

Oh my goodness, I am not a stupid person but sometimes I feel like it! Let me explain. My son has a workbook that he does for class at home. He is in 3rd grade. The workbook is a common core book-which I did not realize when I bought it. The work in that book is so difficult! I feel so dumb when I try to help him at times. I cannot believe how hard the book is, I need someone to tutor me on THIRD grade work apparently! Lol. I am getting him a different workbook when I have the money because I am tired of struggling on it too.
Do you sometimes feel dumb while trying to help a child with their work?

@marlina I home school my children so they learn everything they need to right here. I think schools are being ridiculous with what their teaching now.

i homeschool my kids. and sometimes there is new terminology used in their subjects. So they'll say, Hey mom, what is an appositive? and i'll be like, "well, i better read about it."

@jillybean1222 I Home School my kids too and I'm learning new things with them as well. This one book is impossible though and I'm over it. Lol.

likle the others say the new methods they use in schools now are hard forus parents to use not me im elderly but I d o remember the new mah./

@Hatley Yeah, thank God my children are Home Schooled so I choose what they learn and what they don't. That one workbook is insane and I am not using it anymore for him.

The work that kid do each year seems to change. It was hard to keep up when my six went to school. Everything changes from the first to the last one.
