Monster Movies!!

There was a time when I was growing up and I had all these awesome monster movies to watch!! There was Jurassic Park, Jaws, Anaconda!! Then there were loads of Zombie movies, Vampires, Werewolves!! I am hardcore fan of these movies!! But the quality with the time has decreased to a very very low level!! I mean, what happened? Did the writers forget how much money such a movie can draw if made properly!! Now all you get are these awful B movies like Sharknado and Mega shark vs Mega octopus!! I miss those movies!! Do you people have any genre or any specific kind of movies that you miss?

I personally think all genres have gone down the tube. The all seem second rate now, or just down right boring with nothing new to keep you entertained.

@Rationalwriter I think a lot of it is that things have been done over 20 million times now, that the creativity for new is lost.

I used to like Matilda. I wish there are more movies like that. Tired of all the superhero and robots movies these days.

I like the Twilight movies and they were awesome! Too bad it didn't go for long. I'm hoping that they will produce kind of stories like the twilight.

Nitin, Reading your article really made me feel old. haha. Recently, I was rewatching a few movies made when I was a tad, the old 60's Faustus etc. The special effects were pretty uninspiring although I remember them frightening me at the time. Through the decades they became more realistic. Anaconda was awesome. As were the Zombie movies. As you said, Horror film seems to no longer try to put the viewer on the edge of their seats.

You are Right Actually. This Types of Movies Become Real Garbage Now a Days. But You Know Anaconda is my First Movie I watched in The Theater. I enjoyed it a lot. I like Movies and every genre but yes i miss these types of movies too. And also Horror Films even gore films also become a real garbage. I think 300 or more Hollywood movies release in a year and you'll find only 10 or 20 kinda good, watchable. It's not about the good story or Great acting anymore, It's all about business.
