Is sex education positive or negative?

Nowadays people are promoting sex education as being good and progressive. But is it actually progressive and good?
Let me tell you what I am talking about. Let's say that a child that is close to puberty is educated in school about sex. Americans claim that the reason why having sex with a child is because the child can't give informed consent.
But if the child has been INFORMED about sex through sex education then does this not mean that the child is now able to actually give INFORMED consent because of the INFORMATION that he/she received about sex through sex education?
So, in this case why would pedophilia be wrong? Can anyone explain?
You see, the reason why pedophilia is wrong is not because supposedly children cannot give INFORMED consent but it is wrong simply because WE SAY SO. That is it. That is why it is wrong: JUST BECAUSE WE SAY SO.

@Cristi_Ichim I don't like to enter the personal aspects of it. If children educated well that will enable them to take wise decisions.

this education required for children because one day they have to learn this thing so why not today but with awareness ans limitation because its totally depend on them how they take it, if positive then ok but negative then it will problematic.
