Walked some stairs while waiting at basketball practice.

I had no real reason to do it, I'm not actively trying to lose weight or exercise or anything. I was just bored and wandering the halls of the school while my 9 year old was at basketball practice. Then I came upon a set of stairs and decided to go up and down a few times. Nothing major, I didn't run them, I just walked up them at a leisurely pace. On my last trip up I went all the way up to the 3rd floor and back down again... so I did probably 10 flights total between the multiple trips up and down. I didn't do it all at once either.. I'd do one or two sets then walk for a bit, then do a couple more sets.
It wouldn't be a bad idea if I did this every basketball practice. I could use some exercise as mostly I just sit at work or at home all day. I sure wouldn't mind losing a couple of pounds!

Yeah I have not been getting enough exercise lately. I have been eating better so I've lost some weight without trying. But sneaking in some exercise is hard to do with my busy schedule. I do think walking the stairs while my son is at practice will be a great way to continue to lose weight.

I honestly am just pretty lazy and lack motivation. I'm tired all the time and don't feel like exercising. I could use some more exercise for my health even though I don't need to lose any weight. I think what you did sounds good. Better then just sitting there being bored. I hate sitting still and doing nothing so I likely would have done the same thing. Then again if I had my cell phone on me I probably would have played a mplusrewards app to earn points towards gift cards or if I had my book I probably would have read that.

I do have my phone but I get bored of it pretty quick. I don't do a lot of apps on it. I have an older phone at home I use for apps and videos and stuff, that way I don't kill the battery or use too much data on my regular phone.

Sounds like you found a new exercise routine. Walking up and down the stairs can be a good workout even if you do it for a few minutes.

Yes, just after 2 trips up the stairs I felt my heart rate was elevated a little bit. I will keep at it and walk the stairs at every practice.
