How do we find other people's posts?

Okay, I am a bit baffled. How do we find other people's posts on here? Let's say, umm, so and so says something on my post. I click their name, but I only see their activity, nothing that they post. So, how do I "return the favor" so to speak? I've been trying to figure this site out! It seems like a confusing twitter! :)
