Back in Business

For the most part I am back in business. My neighbour came in this morning and fixed the problem with my desk top and re-installed Google Chrome. The old laptop seems to be just, well that - OLD. He has the malwarebytes program on a flash drive which he tried to use and it still wouldn't let him access it. It scanned for a bit but then stopped. It is currently scanning with McAfee (which is my internet provider's free antivirus) but he suggested not re-installing Chrome on that computer. Since it is basically used for only two things, I can live with IE on that one.
When he called me this morning he asked me what I wanted him to do. Did I want him to come down. I said, "Yes, I always pay you." He said yes but that he wouldn't charge me. I think he was here for two hours so I wouldn't be surprised if I find an invoice in my mail box in a couple of days. We'll see.
Anyway, I'm happy I have two of the three computers back up and running the way I'm used to. I know I could have downloaded Firefox or another browser but I hate trying to get used to new programs. It was hard enough going back to IE after so many years.
So, now I guess I have a lot of catching up to do.

I was so frustrated last night because I thought the lack of internet access was a great opportunity for me to work on my novel... except my novel is on a flash drive and I knew that if I stuck a flash drive in my computer I was risking exposing it to a virus.
